News updates appear often in newspapers, conveying very similar information but providing an update on previous reports. In this workshop we will explore techniques aimed at identifying these "similar" news, combining them in "groups" of closely-related news. By grouping these similar news together we will then be able to extract the relevant information using summarization techniques. Our final goal is to extract the main ideas from these groups of news, composed of news on the same topic.
