Professor Hiroto Ueda (Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies, Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies at the University of Tokyo) gave us his final lecture in the language-analysis room located on the first floor of Building 18. As all the seats were taken, with some people standing in the back, it turned out to be a very lively event. Professor Ueda passionately talked to us about the intriguing nature of analyzing Spanish language, and it went over time. The excitement which everyone in his lecture shared was evident even in the reception which was held in the open space on the fourth floor following his talk.
